Puppies - One Month Today

The puppies were born on March 29th, exactly a month ago. We are beginning to wean them, they are romping around in the grass, and are becoming cuter by the minute!

Puppies, Day 29: Eat Up!

The puppies started to eat from bowls yesterday, right at 4 weeks of age. They took right to it, much to our delight and to the relief of Bailey! We now begin the weaning process, and helping Bailey get back to "normal" after being the mother of 9 puppies!

Puppies - 4 Weeks Old

The puppies will be 4 weeks old tonight. We are half way to the time when the pups will go to new homes! Today we begin the weaning process as the puppies have their first taste of puppy formula!

Pile a Puppies!

I came back from a trip yesterday and went straight to the baseball diamond to umpire two games. Finally last night I was able to spend some time with the puppies (Day 24, by the way).
     There's nothing quite like laying down in the whelping box with 9 puppies climbing all over you!
(Our older dog, Angel, is outside the box in the photo wondering what the heck I am doing! She's a skeptical old lady at this point in her life)

The puppies are seeing, hearing, and walking well now. This is the beginning of the "Cute phase" of puppyhood! They are a lot of work and a lot of fun! Here's some photos of the pups at 3 weeks old:
