DENVER FRIENDS:
Join us on Sunday, November 10th from 12:00 to 3:00pm for a fun afternoon of PUPPIES and POTTERY! Come and see Susy's new line of pottery at Inspired Life Pottery, and visit with our 9 Labrador puppies (5 weeks old). All the puppies have new homes to go to.

Day 23: First Meal!

We gave the puppies their first meal today! Some of the pups took to the food straight away, others did not want much to do with it at first. One or two stuck their noses and paws in it and that's it!

Day 16: Everybody's a Kid Around Puppies

I don't care who it is and how old you are. When you get around puppies (especially Labradors) EVERYBODY becomes a kids again! Even our grown kid, Steven! And even the grey-haired guy in the photo (that's me!).

Two Weeks Old: Meeting New People!

The puppies are two weeks old today. They have a steady stream of visitors and are beginning to learn to relate to different people.
       We have individuals and families come over in anticipation of them adopting a pup. The puppies were an amazing hit with these two sisters!
       And we have a variety of friends come around who just love puppies in general. One of the pups found a safe and warm spot in our friend Cheryl's arms the other day!

Day 13: Welcome to the World!

The puppies eyes started to open this evening! They look a bit like old guys who just woke up in a very dark room and walked into the bright sunshine.

Day 11: About to Walk

The puppies are just about to start walking. At the same time their eyes are about to open and they will begin to hear. Now we will begin to see real PERSONALITIES coming out!

Day 7: Visitors

The puppies learn to be around people very quickly at our house. Our next door neighbors are good friends of ours, and their kids LOVE the puppies. This is Alexander and Katrina on their daily visit to the puppies.

Day 6: Nesting

The puppies are just about a week old. They have doubled in size in just 7 days! Check out the girl in the middle with her paw other her brother!

Day 3: A Puppy's Life

Some friends came over today for a training morning for Step Up. Our friend Diane has holding one of the puppies for a while. He was clearly enjoying himself in his sleep!

Day 2: Meet Miss Piggy

Labrador puppies look more like Miss Piggy than of their parents at this point in their lives. This little guy is enjoying some moments on his mama's tummy.

Day 1: That's a Pile of Puppies!

Bailey started giving birth to her litter at 10:30pm last night and the 9th pup was born just before 2:30am. This delivery seemed easier than the first one for Bailey (easy for us to say of course!).
       Everyone is resting quietly at the moment! Bailey is tired but seems relieved to be done carrying nine 1-pound puppies around inside her!
       We usually post a photo or two each day. Check back regularly!

9 Puppies!

Bailey had a litter of 9 puppies on October 4th - 5th : five boys and four girls!

Giving Birth!

And so it begins! Bailey went into labor late this afternoon and had her first pup at around 10:30pm. She has had 7 so far (4 boys and 3 girls), probably with one or two more to go!

Bailey is only a day or two or three away from giving birth to the pups! And she sure seems ready.

A Puppy Update

       For those of you who have already completed a pre-application for a puppy, you are on the priority list to get a puppy if you want one.

       If you have not completed a pre-application, it is possible all the puppies are spoken for. Please check back on October 15th or so and I will post if there are any puppies available. Thanks.
